The defender spoke about Cristiano’s disappointing 2nd spell at the club.

Harry Maguire has revealed what he thinks about how the 2nd spell of Cristiano Ronaldo ended at Old Trafford. He said that at the beginning, the dressing room was lit up by the arrival of the legend of the team, but only later was that not the case after different kinds of problems on and off the pitch.

Harry shared his opinion about Ronaldo during an appearance on the podcast of Rio Ferdinand: “I can’t say anything bad about him. It was a phenomenal feeling when we learnt that Cristiano Ronaldo would be part of our team. When he arrived, it was phenomenal. It was very frustrating how things worked out and ended, and how we didn’t find a way to play better with him in the squad,” Maguire shared.

“Ronaldo was playing very well and was scoring goals, it was crazy given the fact that we have been very bad as a team during that period, and he continued to perform as that just shows how good Cristiano is,” added the Red Devils defender.

Maguire revealed that the team didn’t find a way to perform as they were like a pressing machine, and that didn’t work out with Ronaldo, as the Portuguese superstar was so upset and frustrated.
