The defending champions were the dominant force all along, but they were left stunned, when Jamie Ward-Prowse gave the host a 1-0 lead in the first half against the run of play.
However, Pep Guardiola’s men were quick to respond, as they equalized with only 43 seconds of play at the start of the second half through Doku.
Bernando Silva put the Citizens in front with quarter of an hour to spare, before Erling Haaland secured the victory towards the end with his 6th goal in 5 matches.
City restore their two-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the table after Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Wolves in the early kick-off, while West Ham drop to sixth.
