Manchester City are prepared to begin negotiations with Erling Haaland over a deal extension.
Haaland still has 3-and-a-half years left on the contract he inked when he moved to the Premier League side from Borussia Dortmund in 2022. Still, the reigning champions are keen to reward an incredible debut campaign which saw Erling netting 52 goals in 53 matches.

No official discussion has yet taken place, but they expected to start over very soon with the Norwegian forward, even before the end of the current campaign ends.
Guardiola’s side is conscious that Haaland has ambitions one day to move to Real Madrid. Still, the English club believes the Norway international is happy and settled in the UK and that he would be willing to ink a new deal to remain in Manchester. His current deal expires in the summer of 2027, by which time the forward would be 26 years old.
