Omar will be the Red Devils' CEO after leaving Manchester City.

The Red Devils named Omar Berrada as the team’s new chief executive after he left the Sky Blues.

Berrada resigned from his role as CFO at City Football Group today, hours before the team from Old Trafford confirmed his appointment.

The change is led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and approved by the Glazers.

“Man United is pleased to share the hiring of Omar Berrada as its new CEO,” the Red Devils announced. “The team is determined to put football and performance on the pitch back as the most important thing we do. Berrada’s hiring represents the 1st step in this process.

Omar has been CFO since the autumn of 2020, previously working as group commercial director and director of partnership sales.

The side from Old Trafford has been without a chief executive officer in the past few months after Richard Arnold shared that he is stepping down as Ratcliffe and INEOS moved closer to ¼ stake in Manchester United.
