The unsettled defender is enduring a difficult season at Old Trafford and has lost his starting place as a result of poor performances.
That ha sled the Frenchman to look for alternatives and Bayern Munich has emerged as prime candidate.
According to Sky Sports Germany, the Bundesliga champions have shown constant interest in the 30-year-old and seem keen on landing the Frenchman.
What is more pleasing for Thomas Tuchel side is that Varane could be available for as little as 20 million euros, which is real bargain considering the Frenchman’s experience.
Varane has started in only one of United’s last 8 games, but manager Erik ten Hag insists the decision is not due to personal fallout, but merely a tactical one.
“It is about tactical reasons why I chose these partnerships. I think Harry and Jonny did well.”
“What I said last year, Harry didn’t play a lot, so I was very happy with Rapha’s performances. I have always been happy with his performance.”
