The billionaire will be in charge of players and manager rotations

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.3billion investment will take 4 to 6 weeks to be ratified. However, in that period Manchester United are obliged to consult the billionaire if they were to make changes to the squad and staff.

That includes manager Erik ten Hag, who has been under severe pressure in the last month after the Red Devils’ sub-par performances.

The Dutchman’s future has been further jeopardized after Ratcliffe’s arrival with many viewing it an impossible collaboration.

However, United kicked off the new era with an impressive comeback win against Aston Villa, which would have calmed the nerves at Old Trafford for the moment.

“I don’t think it has had an impact on the players. For me, I was kept informed in the whole process, so I knew what was going on. We’re looking forward. I think it is positive for the club that they are stepping in.” Ten Hag said of the new part-time owners.
