Harry Maguire claimed his choice to remain a Manchester United player during the summer transfer window was right after he made his way back to the Red Devils, starting 11 in recent matches.
After a disappointing 1st campaign under the Dutch head coach, Maguire was close to leaving the club from Old Trafford to ink with West Ham during the summer, but in the end, the transfer collapsed.

“I am up against some top-level centre-backs and last year they were playing amazingly, so I didn’t get as many opportunities as I would have liked.

England international started the season on the bench but was on the pitch from the 1st minute in the last 8 matches in all tournaments for the Red Devils and admits that his decision to fight for his place and not leave the team has paid off.
“I appeared in a few matches in the past campaign, 16 or 17 starts, and I felt like I did great in the matches I played in; I just didn’t play as many as I would have anticipated,” Maguire admitted.
