Yuli Gurriel had and excellent performance with 4 hits, while Sandy Alcantare staged one of his finest performance in a difficult season, limiting Colorado to two runs in six innings, his second-fewest of the campaign.
Luiz Arraez doubled in two runs in a three-run fifth inning to give the Marlins 5-1 lead.
Jorge Soler hit his 14th home run of the season with a solo shot to left field. Jacob Stallings had two doubles and an RBI.
Elias Diaz homered for the Rockies, while Jurickson Profar extended his on-base streak to 32 games with and RBI double in the first inning.
