Manchester United secured a crucial 2-1 win over Chelsea in a hard-fought game at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Scott McTominay proved to be the hero for the Red Devils as his brace inspired his team to victory.
The hosts started the game strongly and were even awarded a penalty. Sadly for them, Bruno Fernandes was unable to convert it and the score remained 0-0.

But McTominay came to the rescue just 10 minutes later, who carved Chelsea’s defense to send the home team in front.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men, however, took the challenge and started pressing high. Just before half-time a fabulous run from Cole Palmer, followed by elegant finished drew the game level.
In the second half United were the more active team and their efforts were rewarded in the 69th minute when McTominay headed a fine cross from Alejandro Garnacho to score his second of the night and bring the victory at Old Trafford.
It is a huge win for the Red Devils as it relieves the pressure of their and manager Erik ten Hag’s shoulders after dismal display against Newcastle 4 days later. They climb to 6th in the table with 27 points.
