The Argentine superstar scores in fifth consecutive game

Inter Miami defeated the Charlotte 4:0 in a match of the 1/4-finals of the League Cup.

Unlike their previous encounter against FC Dallas, Lionel Messi’s side did not go through a lot of trouble this time around and won easily, starting their punishing campaign early on with a 12th-minute goal from Josef Martinez from the penalty spot. By the end of the half, Tata Martino’s side had scored another goal. It happened in the 32nd minute when Robert Taylor received a good pass from DeAndre Yedlin and had no choice but to score.

After the break, Charlotte tried to claw their way back into the game, but put the final nail in their coffin in the 78th minute when Adilson Malanda scored an unfortunate own goal.

The final score was shaped by Lionel Messi in the 86th minute, assisted by Leonardo Campagna and the Argentinian scored in a fifth consecutive game for his new team.
