The Argentine international’s name has increasingly been linked with a return to the Catalan giants following the end of his contract with French side Paris Saint Germain in June this year.

The Parisians want to keep Messi in the squad, but the football star has not yet accepted the offer to extend his contract until at least June 2024.
According to the source, Lionel Messi’s father, who is also his personal agent, has started a preliminary conversation with Laporta about the Argentine’s return to the club where he spent most of his career.
