The Los Angeles Angels All-Star Mike Trout had surgery to fix his broken hamate bone he suffered when he fouled off a pitch three days ago, and the head coach Phil Nevin announced that he is expected back on the field in 4 to 8 weeks.
“I just spoke with Trout; he just got out of the procedure. He feels all right,” the manager shared before the Angels finished a matchup vs. the San Diego Padres. “The surgery is successful. We spoke to the doctor a moment ago, and he told us that everything went according to the plan.”

The head coach also added that the surgery was the best option for Trout to recover fully and in the fastest way possible from the broken wrist.
