The MLS side won despite playing without Messi.

Sam Surridge, Tai Baribo, and Brian White netted, and MLS won against Liga MX of Mexico 3-1 in the MLS All-Star Game.

Leo Messi and his teammate Jordi Alba can be suspended as the duo from Inter Miami missed the match. That can cost them their place on the pitch when the Floridian team face Cincinnati at the beginning of the weekend for not taking part in the All-Star Game.

Liga MX’s James Rodríguez also missed the match without being injured as the clash was played in front of over 20,000 supporters at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.

Major League Soccer’s best players won their 3rd game in the past 4 against Liga MX after the Mexican league’s best footballers won last year’s edition with 4-1 in Columbus, Ohio.

Leo didn’t play in the All-Star Game since his transfer to Inter Miami. The Argentinian superstar didn’t play in 2024 because he was injured. Leo is even with Nashville’s Surridge for the MLS lead in goals as both have 18.

The only goal for the Liga MX in the match was scored by Gilberto Mora as he made his team’s trail only 1 goal in the 64th minute, but then they conceded another one in the 80th minute.
