Mohamed Salah will likely be staying with Liverpool after the Saudi Pro League seems to have given up on its pursuit , even though they were prepared to splash out £200m for the Reds striker.
Despite their firm effort to lure the Egyptian into Al-Ittihad, Liverpool have remained firm in their position that the striker is not for sale.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia shuts down at 10pm today and if not short of a miracle were to happen, Salah will remain a Liverpool player.
Al-Ittihad are reportedly still prepared to make one last ditch effort to sign the Egyptian but those close to the Saudis say they are giving up hope.
“I never had any doubt about his commitment. He is our player and wants to play here.” said the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
