The transfer saga of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo continues in full force. Liverpool have signed the Ecuador international and he was due to undergo a medical at Anfield on Friday, but out of nowhere the player informed the Reds that his only desire was a move to Chelsea. Then he and his agent left for London.
This decision has caused Liverpool to withdraw from Moises Caicedo, reported Fabrizio Romano, and certainly the transfer of the 21-year-old player to “Anfield” falls through, although the club have agreed with Brighton for his transfer fee, which would have been around 120 million euros.

Moises Caicedo agreed personal terms with Chelsea back in May, but since then the Blues have been unable to reach an agreement with Brighton. Negotiations between the two clubs are currently ongoing, and the Ecuadorian’s hopes are that the transfer will become a reality.

The problem for Chelsea is that Brighton want a minimum of 120 million euros for the transfer, and if the Londoners pay an amount higher than that they are likely to break the Financial Fair Play rule, which makes the deal very difficult as of now.
