With almost 10 seconds left in his delayed campaign debut, Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant was crucial for his organization to return from a 24-point deficit to tie the result vs. the New Orleans Pelicans.
Ja even suggested how the Grizzlies last attack to happen: post-up for power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. However, point Desmond Bane disapproves of Morant’s plan.

“Bane told me, ‘F— no, you will get the final shot,'” Ja shared after the Grizzlies’ 115-113 victory. “So, at that moment, I pretty much just had to lock in and go deliver. And fortunately, I did.”
Ja finished with 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists and notched his 1st match-winning buzzer-beater in the NBA.
“I feel fantastic as that was a perfect match for me, and I’m happy. It’s a perfect day,” the Grizzlies point guard added.
“That was phenomenal,” admitted Jackson, who scored 24 points in the Memphis victory.
Ja Morant: “I’ve been putting work in, man. I ain’t played a game in 8 months… Basketball is my life, what I love, therapeutic for me, and I’m just excited to be back.”
