Murray to play Peniston in all-British Wimbledon opener

Andy Murray has been drawn against Ryan Peniston in all-British first round match at the 2023 Wimbledon.

The 36-year-old may consider himself fortunate as he was under threat of being paired against a higher-rated opponent, having missed out on a seeding for a grass-court Grand Slam event.

However, his opponent will be a wildcard entry Peniston, who is currently 267th in the world.

The winner will face a tough opposition, most likely in the face of fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round.
