It went as far as the player’s agent to threaten the club with legal actions as the videos were viewed as racial slur.
As a result, the social media executive has stepped down from his role in order to weather the storm, the club announced via Instagram post.
Alessio Fortino wrote: “Today, after 805 days, my professional adventure with SSC Naples ends.”
“For many this job would be comparable to a dream, for me it was simple daily reality: a reality built on commitment and fueled by the constant desire to learn and play.”
“I cannot help but express my deepest gratitude to all the colleagues, collaborators, partners and supporters I’ve met along this long journey for making this experience so special.”
According to reports, Napoli’s directors have given Osimhen their apology for the ongoing situation, but the Nigerian is still upset due to them not making it public. He infamously deleted his Instagram posts with Napoli shirt and refused to celebrate after bagging a goal against Udinese and Lecce.
