Netflix and FIFA signed a contract for the streaming platform to have exclusive USA broadcasting rights to the next 2 FIFA Women’s World Cup competitions, global football’s governing body shared today.
The Women’s World Cup in 2027 will take place in Brazil, while a host has not yet been confirmed for the 2031 competition. The USA is expected to try to host the tournament after Brazil.

FIFA unbundled media rights from the men’s bidding for the 1st time for the 2027- and 2031- Women’s World Cups. Fox will broadcast the men’s edition until 2026, which cleared the way for the football governing body’s separate bidding process.
The contract revealed today is the most significant the governing body has inked with a streaming service for a major competition. No financial details were provided about the deal.
