Gary Neville has shared his criticism at Manchester United’s decision to announce the minority share takeover by Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Christams Eve.
According to the Sky pundit it is a ‘disgraceful’ timing and pretty much sums up the torrid 2023 the Red Devils are enduring.
Official announcement had been delayed, but on December 24 it was finally announced that Ratcliffe’s Ineos Group will earn a minority stake at Old Trafford. But Neville was far form impressed by the news.
“Manchester United 2023 has been a disgrace to the end,” Neville wrote in social media post.
“The timing of this is truly awful and no functioning organisation would even think about it.”
“Anyway all the very best to Jim Radcliffe and I hope he can somehow work out a way to get the club right again and back to being something respectable on and off the pitch.”
