Deniz Undav scored an own goal, and Dan Burn, in the extra time of the first half, made it 2-0 for Newcastle.

Again, Deniz Undav scored, but this time for, his team to make it 2-1. At the end of the match, however, Callum Wilson and Bruno Guimaraes netted for the crucial win at home.

Joe Willock left the pitch in the 2^nd half with an injury, and is very doubtful to see him play again till the end of the season.

The Magpies are in 3^rd place with 69 points after 36 matches – 4 more than Liverpool, as both teams have played the same number of games. Newcastle will face Leicester next at home and finish the season against Chelsea in London.

Brighton is in 6^th place with 58 points after 35 games, and the club will try to remain in the top 7 and play the European tournaments next campaign.
