Newcastle United have told Liverpool that they will not sell Alexander Isak to them for that price, despite the fact that the forward wants to continue his career with the Reds.
Isak is training alone away from his teammates as discussions between both teams continue. The Reds’ 1st official offer for the Swedish striker was 120 million pounds.
The Magpies tried to extend Isak’s deal as they even offered the striker to include in his new deal a release clause for 2026, but the Swedish forward refused that, and he now demands to leave. Veteran footballers at Newcastle tried to persuade him to stay, but he didn’t want to listen and is training alone at his ex-team’s training ground in San Sebastian, while the Magpies are preparing for the new campaign in Asia.

The team from Anfield views the Swedish forward as a long-term option and is ready to improve its bid. The Magpies, while trying to share publicly that they will not sell Alexander, have already started to look for alternatives with Sesko from Leipzig at the top of their list at the moment, and are preparing for a future without Isak.
