McLaren’s Lando Norris claimed it is very exhausting to fight a losing battle vs. Ferrari in today’s Japanese GP and that, without a doubt, their competitor has a better pace than his team.
Lando started from the 3rd position in Japan, but not at any moment had he put pressure on Red Bull pilots ahead of him as he even lost 2 positions as the 2 Ferrari drivers surpassed him.
“Ferrari are without a doubt better than us, they’ve been ahead since the beginning of the season,” Norris shared after the race. “We didn’t do anything about being better than Ferrari. There’s no reason why we should finish ahead of them.
“It is very bothering when you begin the race 3rd and have no chance to keep the position as you’re just fighting a losing battle vs. Ferrari drivers.
“Their cars allowed him to perform a lot better than me. I tried everything that I could, but in the end, they were better.”
