LA Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani had an elbow procedure, and his medical team shared he expects the 2-way player will be able to hit on Opening Day next campaign and will be able to pitch in 2025.
The Los Angeles player tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow at the end of last month, finishing his pitching campaign. Shohei continued as a batter through September 3rd until an oblique strain.

LA Dodgers chief physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache operated the Angels star.
“I had an operation done on my elbow today, and everything went according to the plan,” Shohei shared on social media. “I want to show my gratitude for everyone’s prayers and kind words. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the season on the field, but I will support my teammates no matter what happens. I will do everything to return as soon as possible, even stronger than ever.”
