Indiana Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton was diagnosed with shingles and will be sidelined for several weeks, manager Rick Carlisle revealed today.
Tyrese hasn’t played in the current campaign because of a torn ACL he sustained in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, but the point guard has still been on the Pacers’ bench during the matches.
“That is very painful,” the Indiana boss claimed. “Haliburton will make a full recovery, but this happened over the past several days. Tyrese was meeting us in the capital and had some odd symptoms, and he came back here. That’s the situation with him. Our team wishes him a speedy recovery. I already spoke with him several times, and he is always positive and will get through it.”
Without Haliburton in the lineup, Indiana is 15-43 this campaign – the worst record in the East, and they are already eliminated from the playoffs. That means that we would probably not see Tyrese again in the current season on the Pacers’ bench, as there are only 2 months left before the start of the postseason, as Indiana will not be there.
Tyrese Haliburton will be away from the Pacers for at least 2-3 weeks after being diagnosed with shingles, per HC Rick Carlisle
