Panthers’ General Manager hasn’t disclosed who’ll be 1st pick

The GM denied that Young was told that he would be the number one pick.

Scott Fitterer – the GM of the Carolina Panthers, declared that he didn’t tell QB Bryce Young that he would be the No. 1 pick in the draft.

The general manager of Carolina explained that after the Alabama quarterback cut his pre-draft appointments. Panthers will have the 1st choice on April 27th.

“That was a decision he made alone,” Scott said at the team’s pre-draft news conference. “I just refer you to his reps and Bryce as to the why.”

The other prospect for the 1st pick in the 2023 NFL Draft is Ohio State, QB C.J. Stroud. Fitterer also reported that Bryce’s size would not be a determinant.
