Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Chelsea are struggling in attack and have only themselves to blame for their woeful display against Brentford, which saw the Blues waste a handful of opportunities.
“If you don’t score you need to blame yourself and we are going to blame ourselves because we were not nasty or clinical in front of the goal. We create chances but did not score.” the Argentinian said.
“It’s obvious at the moment, no [the team doesn’t have enough goals]. That is obvious, and your analysis and some point, I think we agree.”
The home supporters seem to be losing patience with the current state of affairs as striker Jackson was targeted by a fan and Pochettino had to intervene to stop the feud.
Chelsea suffered their 9th League defeat at Stamford Bridge in 2023 and now sit 11th with only 12 points out of 10 games.
