Mauricio Pochettino has pleaded to the club’s fans to support attacker Nicolas Jackson after they harshly criticized him at Stamford Bridge as well as by former forward and now TV pundit Alan Shearer.
🗣️”Nico is young, he arrived this season, circumstances didn’t help him perform at his best. What can we do? Throw him in the bin and say he is useless? Come on, we need to give him confidence.”

Supporters were seen abusing Nicolas during Chelsea’s 2-0 loss at their stadium from Brentford, which forced the Blues head coach to defend the striker.
All-time league’s leading goalscorer Shearer also shared his opinion about Nicolas Jackson, which was negative, as he said that the forward completely lacks movement.
” This type of analysis is not very accurate because it’s 1 match,” Pochettino shared. “I cannot lie, he didn’t show his best football, but we must be fair. If you watch Luton, Dortmund during the summer, and Liverpool, you will see this is 1 footballer.
“Brentford clash was another footballer. I agree with the analysis, but it’s unfair to label him because of a single match. I believe in Jackson, and I think he will show his best side in Chelsea kit very soon.”
