The clash was scheduled for a day earlier but then moved to Christmas Eve, making it the 1st time a Premier League match will be played on December 24th since 1995, earning criticism from supporters.
“Our supporters unsatisfied? Me neither; I’m not satisfied also because December 23rd is my anniversary with my wife, and I need to travel for our away match,” Pochettino shared with the media as he was laughing.
“Then the next day, for Argentine people, is a really important night, and I hope we will be able to return on time to celebrate this important holiday.”
Pochettino added that despite being not happy about that, his team will prepare to show their best in a situation that it’s not their fault.
