Authorities will probe the protocols during the golfer's arrest.

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg revealed today that the city’s police department would probe if its officers followed proper protocols when world number 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested at the end of the past week outside Valhalla Golf Club, the place of last week’s PGA tournament.

The mayor added that the LMPD police chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel will give more details about the probe to the public in few days.

“I believe that it is extremely important that we do that, not just in high-profile situations like [those that] took place a few days ago, but on a regular basis,” the Louisville mayor shared with the public. “And if policies are not being executed right, there will be transparency about that. There will be consequences.”

The police already shared with the media last weekend that the officer who arrested the golfer didn’t activate his bodycam video recorder during the whole procedure that, put Scheffler in the arrest.
