The opening goal came in the 62nd minute but it was Czech Republic that scored as Lukas Provod netted it after Vladimir Coufal’s assist. However, that didn’t shock Portugal and they continued to look for a goal and 7 minutes later, they tied the result after a huge mistake from the Czech goalkeeper that led to Robin Hranac own goal.

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, who entered as a sub in the 2nd half, scored in the 87th minute, but his goal was disallowed after a VAR review that ruled that Cristiano Ronaldo was offside during the attack that led to the goal. Despite that, Marinez’s team ended up with the victory as Robin Hranac again was the key man this time, he made a huge mistake inside the penalty area and stopped the ball for Francisco Conceicao as the Porto forward scored the winning goal in the extra time.
Turkey beat Georgia 3-1 earlier today in the other match from the group.
