Goncalo Ramos was the hero for the reigning European champions to keep their perfect tally - six points out of two games so far

Paris Saint-Germain clinched a dramatic 2-1 victory over Barcelona at Montjuic in the second round of the Champions League, sealing the win with a last-minute strike from Goncalo Ramos.

Barcelona started the match on a high note and came close in the 14th minute, when Ferran Torres beat Luca Chevalier and looked certain to score, only for Illia Zabarnyi to make a decisive sliding clearance. Five minutes later, the hosts did take the lead. Lamine Yamal pounced on a misplaced pass from Vitinha before combining with Pedri and Marcus Rashford. The Englishman’s clever through ball found Torres, who slotted home past Chevalier to make it 1-0.

PSG responded before the break. In the 38th minute, Ibrahim Mbaye launched an attack through Nuno Mendes, whose surging run opened space for Senny Mayulu. The youngster outmuscled Pau Cubarsi and calmly finished past Wojciech Szczesny to level the score.

The French champions pushed for a second after halftime. Bradley Barcola forced Szczesny into a sharp save in the 53rd minute, while Kang-in Lee struck the post late on. Barcelona had their moments too, with Lamine Yamal drawing fouls and stretching the PSG defense, though Nuno Mendes escaped a second yellow after a risky challenge on the teenager.

Just as the match seemed destined for a draw, PSG struck at the death. In the 90th minute, Vitinha found Achraf Hakimi down the right, and his precise pass set up Goncalo Ramos one-on-one with Szczesny. The Portuguese striker made no mistake, coolly finishing to secure all three points for Luis Enrique’s side.
