Britain’s Emma Raducanu claimed she is in a “really fit place” as she prepares to begin her grass-court campaign at the Nottingham Open.
Emma missed Roland-Garros to improve her fitness, having not be on the court since being defeated in the 1st of the Madrid Open two months ago.
The British tennis player, who underwent wrist and ankle surgeries in 2023, will play against Japanese Ena Shibahara in the Nottingham 1st round tomorrow.
“Body-wise, physical-wise, I’m prepared to play competitive tennis, and I believe I’m almost at my best level,” shared Emma, who played her 1st WTA match at Nottingham in 2021 before shocking the world when she triumphed at the US Open later that year.”
Raducanu added that she trained really well with her coach in the past several months since her operation and revealed that she believes her wrists are actually in a better position than they ever were.
