Real Madrid triumphed in the 1st El Clásico this season as they won against Barcelona 2-1 at the Bernabeu and now have 5 5-point lead at the top of LaLiga.

Only a few minutes after the beginning of the match, Real Madrid received a penalty. However, after VAR review, the decision was reversed.

In the 45th minute, the French superstar of Los Blancos scored, but another goal was disallowed for an offside.

After a VAR review, Real Madrid received a penalty in the 52nd minute and had a fantastic chance to secure a 2-goal lead. Kylian Mbappe took it, but Wojciech Szczesny saved his shot and kept the deficit of the Catalan side to only 1 goal.

Jude Bellingham scored another goal in the 69th minute, but again, Real’s goal was disallowed for an offside.

In the extra time, Pedri received a 2nd yellow card and left his team with 10 players on the pitch seconds before the final whistle.
