The Royal club won El Clásico, defeating the Catalan side in Madrid.

Real Madrid triumphed in the 1st El Clásico this season as they won against Barcelona 2-1 at the Bernabeu and now have 5 5-point lead at the top of LaLiga.

Only a few minutes after the beginning of the match, Real Madrid received a penalty. However, after VAR review, the decision was reversed.

In the 12th minute, Los Blancos thought that they scored. Kylian Mbappe, with a phenomenal shot outside the penalty area, put the ball inside Wojciech Szczesny’s net, but the goal was disallowed for an offside after VAR.

Finally, the Royal club opened the score in the 22nd minute as this time Kylian Mbappe received the ball inside the box and made it 1-0 for the home side.

In the 38th minute, Barcelona answered as Fermin Lopez tied the result 1-1 after receiving a phenomenal assist.

Despite that, Real Madrid had the lead at halftime as Eder Militao found Jude Bellingham in the 43rd minute, and the English midfielder netted with an empty net in front of him.

In the 45th minute, the French superstar of Los Blancos scored, but another goal was disallowed for an offside.

After a VAR review, Real Madrid received a penalty in the 52nd minute and had a fantastic chance to secure a 2-goal lead. Kylian Mbappe took it, but Wojciech Szczesny saved his shot and kept the deficit of the Catalan side to only 1 goal.

Jude Bellingham scored another goal in the 69th minute, but again, Real’s goal was disallowed for an offside.

In the extra time, Pedri received a 2nd yellow card and left his team with 10 players on the pitch seconds before the final whistle.
