Real Madrid continue their pursuit of Manchester City’s midfield star Rodri, reportedly preparing a massive €150 million offer to bring the Spaniard back to his home country next summer.
According to Express Sport, Los Blancos view Rodri as the perfect heir to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, both of whom recently departed the club. President Florentino Perez believes the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner could redefine Real’s midfield for the next decade.

However, Manchester City have made their stance crystal clear — Rodri is not for sale. The 28-year-old is regarded as an irreplaceable cornerstone of Pep Guardiola’s side, and the Premier League champions have no intention of letting him leave.

Rodri has been at the heart of City’s success since arriving from Atlético Madrid in 2019. His exceptional control, composure, and intelligence on the ball have made him one of the best holding midfielders in world football. His heroics last season — helping City secure another league title and guiding Spain to European Championship glory — earned him the sport’s most prestigious individual prize.
Although his current contract runs until 2027, Real Madrid are reportedly hoping that a record-breaking offer could tempt the English club into negotiations next summer, especially as Rodri edges closer to the final years of his deal.
