The ex-Wales rugby player took part in the NFL International Player Pathway program in the past month, after which he met with a few organizations before joining Kansas City.
The former rugby star revealed that he felt welcomed by the team’s staff and footballers, including Patrick and Travis, who personally texted him after his signing with the Chiefs.
“We are besties with Mahomes at the moment,” Louis joked.
“He and Kelce have written me, just sharing, ‘Welcome to Kansas City. ‘ If I ever need anything, to share with them. I feel welcomed since the day I stepped into the team.”
Rees-Zammit will compete as a running back or wide receiver, depending on what the Chiefs need during the season.
