It will happen during the game between Palace and United tonight.

Jarred Gillett will be recorded by a “RefCam” during tonight’s match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United – the 1st time this will happen in the EPL.

The referee will wear a head-mounted device that is integrated into the standard official communications system.

It will give Jarred’s point of view on how he decides how to officiate, and how the referee interact with the footballers.

The footage from the camera will not be available live, but it will be provided later in the season as part of a show that the EPL trusts will provide “further insight and education into the demands of refereeing in the league.”

The Bundesliga used a “RefCam” in 1 of its matches this campaign between Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg as footage from what happened on the pitch can be watched as an almost an half-an-hour documentary.

Jarred had experience with “RefCam” as he did it 5 years ago during his final Australian A-League game, which received positive response from the fans.
