The Phillies baseman hobbled off the field in visible pain

Philadelphia Phillies’ first baseman Rhys Hoskins was carted off the field in a training game on Thursday.
The 30-year old injured his left knee trying to field a grounder.
He was backing up to play a chopper when the ball fell out of his glove. He fell to the ground and began clutching his left knee as a consequence. Teammates gathered around him before he was taken off of the field.
Potential long injury for Hoskins could be another blow for the Phillies who are without top pitching prospect Andrew Painter, who is out for couple of weeks with a sprained ligament in his right elbow. Slugger Bruce Harper is also sidelined after undergoing a surgery back in November.
