Roma gets third win in Europa League with a first-minute goal

The Italian side already has 9 points and is in touching distance to the knockout stage

Roma beat Slavia Praha 2-0 in their third round Europa League group stage. The Italians are now just a win away from securing a spot in the knockout stage, recording three victories in three games.

Roma opened the scoring inside the first 50 seconds of the clash at Stadio Olimpico. El Shaarawy stole the ball and passed it to Bove, who fired it beautifully into the top right corner.


In the 16 minute the home side doubled their lead when El Shaarawy got his second assist, finding Romelu Lukaku, who showed composer inside the box and scored for the final 2-0, which was also his 14th goal in a row in Europa League, continuing his amazing scoring run.

Roma leads the group with 9 points, while Slavia Praha stays second with six.
