The Sky Blues have been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against them by the league.
The financial charges relate to the period from 2009-10 to 2017-18, while they are also guilty of hiding information during the Premier League’s later investigation.
One punishment could be Manchester City being stripped of the Premier League titles they won. The Sky Blues have won 8 titles since Sheik Mansour’s takeover in 2009, as 3 of those trophies were during the time in which they are found guilty of breaking the rules.
Wayne Rooney was part of the Red Devils team that finished 2nd to the rival from Etihad in 2011-2012 but does not want to be awarded the league title retrospectively.
“I don’t want to be awarded another Premier League title because I don’t think we deserve it. It was our fault that we didn’t do enough to finish 1st during that season,” shared Rooney.
