Roque’s goal leads Barca to a 1-0 victory vs. Osasuna

Barcelona won against Osasuna 1-0 at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the 1^st match that the Catalan side played since Xavi shared that he will leave the club after the end of the current season. After the victory, the home team climbed to 3^rd place in La Liga as Osasuna failed to score for the 4^th consecutive away game.

The Catalan team bounced back from the weekend’s shocking 5-3 loss at home vs. Villarreal, but the match’s opening minutes weren’t very bright after Ferran Torres left injured. Despite having the ball in the 1^st half, Barcelona failed to create good chances to score.

Fermin Lopez, who replaced injured Ferran Torres in the 1^st half, was replaced by 18-year-old Vitor Roque in the 62^nd minute, and only 1 minute later, the Brazilian netted to give his team the lead after Joao Cancelo’s assist.
