The ex-RFEF president, Luis Rubiales, must give his thoughts at Spain’s National Court on Friday on allegations of sexual assault and coercion.
Prosecutors filed a lawsuit against the president – who decided to resign from his post last weekend. The reason was his unsolicited kiss on Jennifer Hermoso’s lips after Spain’s World Cup triumph in August.
A judge took the case yesterday and today summoned Luis to give his version and defend himself on Friday.

Except for the sexual assault charges, the former president could be found guilty of coercion as he pressured the Spain forward and her camp to share that she doesn’t mind what happened, according to the lawsuit.
Rubiales, given a 3-month suspension as a president of RFEF, decided to resign on Sunday as he will also leave his position as vice president in UEFA. Despite the resignation, Luis still claims that the kiss was after consent.
