Despite being with 1 man more on the pitch, Liverpool needed to wait until the 75th minute to take the lead when Mohamed Salah converted a penalty. The home side received the penalty after VAR sent the main referee to the monitor, and he decided to give Klopp’s team a penalty for handball. Salah scored his 2nd goal in the extra time and secured the victory for the Reds.
