Spurs attacker Son Heung-min has moved to reassure supporters after he appeared to sustain an ankle problem during Republic Korea’s 5-0 victory against Singapore.
Tottenham forward scored the 3rd goal in the 2nd half, but in the game’s final minutes, he suffered a knock on his ankle, which required the medical staff to treat him and left Son in visible pain.
The 31-year-old Korean superstar remained on the pitch for the final 10 minutes of the clash as Jurgen Klinsmann didn’t replace him despite the game being decided.
After the match, Son shared that everything with him is fine:
“I’m all right at the moment; I don’t like to lie down for a long period on the pitch in this cold weather,” the Tottenham captain claimed after the match. “At that moment, I received the knock. I couldn’t feel anything on my foot.
“I’m not the only one; all footballers have small problems but still play for South Korea.”
