Spain won against Germany 2-1 after overtime as the winning goal came in the 119th minute, and the team advanced to the ½ finals of the European championship, where they will face either France or Portugal.
Toni Kroos fouled Pedri at the beginning of the match that forced the Spanish midfielder to be replaced a few minutes later as Dani Olmo came on the field. Germany had 4 shots on goal compared to 3 shots on goal from Spain but neither of the shots were clear chances for goal as the result logically remained unchanged after the 1st half.

At halftime, Nagelsmann replaced Sane and Can with Andrich and Wirtz, while his de la Fuente replaced Le Normand with Nacho.
Despite entering the pitch because of an injury, Dani Olmo became Spain’s hero as he scored in the 51st minute after Lamine Yamal’s assist.
After the goal, the home nation of the Euro 2024 took control and had fantastic chances to tie the result; the best one was when Niclas Fullkrug hit the post in the 77th minute. As later, Kai Havertz had a fantastic opportunity, but his shot went over the bar.
Germany, however, didn’t give up and finally they evened the result in the 89th minute as Joshua Kimmich scored inside the penalty area.
In the extra time, referee Anthony Taylor robbed Germany by not giving a 100% penalty for a handball. Despite the logic and the dominance by the home team, Mikel Merino scored a header in the 119th minute to secure the victory for Spain.
