The end of the boycott happened after 7 hours of discussions involving the footballers, RFEF officials, the National Sports Council (CSD), and the women’s players’ union FUTPRO.
The footballers started the strike earlier this month. They claimed that they would not play again for the national team until there were further changes at the RFEF, as everything started when the ex-federation president Luis Rubiales kissed Jenni Hermoso.
“A joint commission will be created between RFEF, CSD, and footballers to follow up on the agreements, which will be inked on Thursday,” CSD President Victor Francos shared with the media.
Francos added that the players insisted on profound changes in the federation as the most important ones were agreed upon and will happen immediately.
