The Toffees defender Ben Godfrey is emerging as a key target for a few Premier League clubs, as the most interest at the moment has been generated by Tottenham and the Magpies.

Godfrey is not the 1st choice in Everton’s defense in the current campaign, with manager Sean Dyche trusting James Tarkowski, Michael Keane, and Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of him at the heart of the defense of the team. Ben has appeared for only 1 minute in the league since August, entering from the bench in the team’s 2-2 draw against Sheffield United.
As a result, the defender is not part of the plans of Gareth Southgate, and Godfrey is not happy with that fact. The 25-year-old defender is keen to be a regular player again and wants to leave Everton as soon as possible.
Spurs and Newcastle, who both need defensive reinforcements, have a strong interest in inking him in the upcoming transfer window in January.
