Nicolas Gioacchini broke the deadlock in the 34th minute and put the home team in front.
Joao Klauss followed it up with a fine strike in first-half injury time. Tomas Ostrak put the game to bed with his deflected shot curling past goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski for 3-0.
St. Louis were as impressive in the back as they were in front of goal, as they recorded their first clean sheet of the season.
“We just now have to stay grounded,” manager Bradley Carnell said.
“I don’t doubt this group for one single day that we don’t remain humble, that we don’t remain eager to learn and to commit.”
“…I just want to keep this going. Right now the motto is, ‘Comfortable, but never satisfied.”
St. Louis currently sit at the top of the table in both the Western Conference and overall MLS standings, two points ahead of Atlanta in second.
They became the first newly promoted team in MLS history to record a four consecutive victories in their first four games. What’s more they are the only remaining team with a perfect start, bagging 12 points from possible 12.
