Suns point guard Chris Paul racks up season-high 19 assists

Devin Booker finished with 32 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals to lift the Phoenix Suns to a 120-109 victory against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

Deandre Ayton had 29 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists and Josh Okogie contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for the Suns.

Lively Chris Paul reminded why he is called the Point God, finishing the contest with a whooping 19 assists. He also added 17 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

Paul, who managed to accumulate eight of those dimes in the first quarter and 11 by halftime, has now passed Oscar Robertson for the fourth-most 15-assist games in NBA history (112).

NBA star acquisition Kevin Durant, who is recovering from a right knee injury and hasn’t played since Jan. 12, got his first Footprint Center welcome two days before his official introductory press conference scheduled for Thursday.

Durant is expected back sometime after this weekend’s All-Star break.

Suns coach Monty Williams confirmed that Durant is participating in some drills as he prepares to return.

“He’s in great shape and going game speed like he always does,” Williams said, adding that Durant needs to play in more 3-on-3 and similar competition levels before he can return.

De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 35 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists and Domantas Sabonis finished with 24 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.

The Suns host the Los Angeles Clippers in another vital mid-season Pacific Division rivalry game on Thursday night.
