Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag did not hide his disappointment with his team’s performance and especially the negative results lately. The Red Devils racked up nine defeats in 17 games since the start of the season, the latest of which came in midweek when they suffered a 4-3 defeat away to Copenhagen in the Champions League.
“We have to win every game and we are very disappointed with these losses. After all, it is about the end result, the mindset and the process of managing its achievement. I think we proved we can rise to challenges, we often showed that, like against Fulham and Brentford. Luton are a good team and have had some good results. We are aware that there are no easy games in the Premier League and we have to show our best and we have to be extremely focused to win,” explained Ten Hag before the game against the newly-promoted side.
“I think he is not happy, we are not happy” 🙁

The Dutchman admitted that Marcus Rashford, who received a straight red card in the week against Copenhagen, is not at his best but is confident that will change.
“He is not happy and we are not happy about what happened. He has high expectations for himself, but he is not at his best at the moment. When the team plays better, Rashford will also perform better, he will score, I’m sure of that. I’m sure it will happen as the season progresses, sometimes you just need one game and he’ll get there.”, he said.
